Light of Hope Mississippi Inc. needs essential equipment and tools to effectively operate our sober transitional housing facility and provide vocational opportunities for our residents.
we are also planning to incorporate a chicken coop and other farming equipment into our facility. These resources will be utilized as part of an optional self-sustaining agricultural vocational program. Residents who choose to participate in this program will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills in animal husbandry, agriculture, and food production. They will be responsible for tending to the chickens, collecting and distributing eggs, as well as maintaining the coop and equipment. The knowledge and experience gained through this program will enable them to pursue job opportunities in these fields upon program completion. We also anticipate the need for basic gardening tools, wheelbarrows or carts, irrigation systems, fencing, and cleaning supplies for the coop. As our funding allows, we have plans to expand our farm program to incorporate larger livestock and greenhouses and develop additional acreage for cultivation purposes. The acquisition of these essential equipment and tools represents a significant capital investment for our facility. However, these investments will provide substantial benefits for many years, including vocational opportunities, skill development, and food production that contribute to our overall self-sustainability. We are confident that with proper maintenance and care, the chicken coop and farming equipment will effectively serve Light of Hope Mississippi Inc. for at least 10-15 years, if not longer.
